Hi Myranda - it doesn't take long at all for hard floors or area rugs to dry, but it depends on how much water you're spraying on the floor and how many passes you do over the floor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hard floors dry within 5-10 minutes. It does a great job picking up excess water. I have used it on small area rugs and they dried within 20-30 minutes. Overall I am very pleased with its performance.

You may have spots here and there if the feel of the flooring has lines in the flooring are a little uneven where you will experience a silver dollar size water spot left behind. I use a paper towel to dab it up, I highly recommend the crossover. The only area rugs I have cleaned are the rubber backing area rugs with small edging of rubber around the rug pile. The crossover has wonderful suction so I would say maybe 5 minutes at the most ?
