• you can use it without the mob feature. There is a trigger that your squeeze if you want to mop. My husband vacuums daily but I only mop maybe 2-3 a week with this!

• You can use it as just a vacuum just do not pull on the handle to dispense any cleaner. I do not believe this unit would work well as a standard vacuum for carpets but amazing on thin area rugs and especially hard floors.
