I had the same thing happen to one of two I purchased. The only thing is to call Bissell to find the nearest place to have it checked out, First call Bissell to find where to take or send your Lift Off Deep Carpet Cleaner. The second one that I have st s friends home, it is working good with no problems. The only thing that is done differently is everything is taken apart just as soon as the cleaner has been flushed out with clean water, then it is taken apart for cleaning. I have learned that after using the machine flush out just the instructions tells you, then take it apart, Just call Bissell and tell them your problem. It is really great machine when it works.
