What temperature does the water reach? null

It does not heat water. The "steam" is actually a cool mist. I am returning mine for this reason.

You are not correct or the burn on my body I suffered after trying to verify what you claim about "fake" steam didn't happen. I assure you the steam is real which is the main reason I chose this product over so many less expensive ones. Unfortunately, that very steam is now intermittent at best and am seeking a repair or replacement since it is under a year old. Best Buy isn't making the process any easier requiring me to contact Bissel directly. For the money these things cost and the fact that I bought this from Best Buy NOT Bissel directly, my days of giving Best Buy my money are becoming numbered.
