“How load is it? I've used an Oreck XL upright and a Eureka Mighty Mite and would hope it's no louder as those. I prefer bagged vacuums but want to try the BISSELL Pet Hair Eraser because of its claims of not getting hair tangled on the roller.”

I haven't tried the two vacuums that you mentioned, but I can say that I was surprised that this vacuum wasn't terribly loud. Given it's size and the number of vents coming out of it, I expected it to be deafening. Upon turning it on, I was surprised by just how mild the sound was. It'll definitely drown out a television or radio some, but you'll still be able to hear people talking over it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't own the units you mentioned, I have a Miele canister, and it's no louder than that. I was surprised at it, as it does have great suction, and would have thought it should've been louder for the power it has. So far happy with the unit.

I never had an Oreck XL or a Eureka Mighty Mite, so I can't compare the loudness level with those, but I do have a Hoover Wind Tunnel and 2 Dirt Devil vacuums, and the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser is NOT as loud as those two.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is not any louder than the Shark I also have. The container is really easy to empty. I have a big hairy dog and hair has never gotten twisted on the roller. I would recommend this sweeper to pet owners.

Please try again later.While I'm not familiar with either of those models you mentioned it is about the same as an old Hoover bag machine I have and the Dyson we have at work. I'd say it is in the average loudness range for an upright. Hope this helps and you should give it a try because the roller design does seem to prevent tangling up the pet hair ;)
