I did not pay the extra Best-Buy coverage because I knew before purchase that Bissell had a good warranty for this item. I had read other reviews indicating Bissell has a three- year warranty on this steam-mop. Also a few reviewers stated their steam-mop had problems close to the end of the warranty and Bissell customer service instructed them to cut off the power cord, send the cord to them, and the unit would be replaced, which is evidently what happened. Mailing a cord to the company costs less than buying an extended warranty. When I called to register my steam mop, the Bissell representative confirmed this mop has a three-year warranty.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes you should be able to. If not, just return it and buy it again. It'll virtually be the same thing. LOL If they give you grief about it I'd just tell them that you'll return it and buy another brand new one with an extended warranty. I'm sure they'd rather do the less paperwork deal. I should note though, Bissell does offer a 2 year warranty on this bad boy. I feel that if it lasts 2 years I've already made my money's worth. When you think about how much you could clean with this vs how much you'd pay someone else ... I think even cleaning just your kitchen alone would pay for the product itself. Just my opinion though. I just feel like paying money for a warranty for a cheap-isa product like this just isn't worth it. I'd keep that money and use it towards a newer model if this thing kicks the bucket in 2 years. Now if it was a washing machine ... maybe
