- Answer No, the machine does everything. You definitely want to do a couple dry runs to try and suck up as much moisture as possible. Ours took about 24hrs to dry.

QuestionI just bought the model and I'm very happy, I used it for 10-15 minutes to try cleaning a piece of carpet and I noticed that it got very hot, especially the part where the power button is. Is it normal for the machine to get so hot?

- Answer For your carpets. Pet owners a big plus to have one in the house if you have rugs. Not for actual use on your pets. Bissell has a dog wash machine for that.

- Answer It is not a steamer. The cleaning solution is water heater hot but not steaming. The carpet is damp after vacuuming with the machine.

- Answer This happened to our two prior Bissell machines. The little plug where the water goes in gets clogged. It is a defect of Bissell. You have to store the machine empty and ensure you dry that section out every single time.
