It depends on the size of the area and the type of mess you're cleaning.. typically the steam is just to break up tough and sticky type stains and messes and then you go over it with the cleaning solution.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Never tried. I would assume the steam isn't pressurized enough to hit a target area directly. Steam is released in a broad spray to cover area the size of vacuum head. We use cleaning solution every time along with steam.
