Its just as good as a deck mop. I personally dont like sponge mops. So, its either old fashioned hands and knees or a deck mop. I cant squeeze out those heavy mops anymore due to age. So i thought this would really scrub the floors. It diesnt scub as i thought. It cleans. However, if you spray to much liquid it leaves circle marks. But, it does the job. I expected more for the price. But, at least i dont have to get down and scrub by hand or squeeze out heavy mop or deal with dirty water. The pads do rinse clean. And can be reused a second time before you throw in the wash. Hope this helped.

No steam. It sprays a mixture of water and cleaning solution. It works great though.
