“Follow up to my question regarding extra battery. After research I found out you cannot buy a separate battery. It looks like it's built in the unit. If it goes out than you would most likely have to buy another unit.”

True, no replacement battery.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi... no. It is rechargeable and you plug it in. However, I get what you are saying about what happens when the rechargeable batter finally quits. I have been using my unit regularly for over a year and it still charges fully with no issues. If it goes for 5 years, I will consider it good value for the price and will likely want to update the unit anyway.
