Q: QuestionI am buying 1 wireless blink mini outdoor camera and 2 wireless mini blink indoor cams. Will a sync module 2 come with both different cameras? Can I just use one sync module 2 to sync all the cameras together?

• A:Answer The sync module 2 would ship with the Blink Indoor and Blink Outdoor Kits/Systems. (Note: the Blink Mini does not ship with a sync module as it is designed to operate on its own, no sync module required however it can also be added to any existing Blink System as well) You are able to purchase and use just the cameras from a Kit purchase and add them to an existing Blink System, this would just give you an additional sync module. You are also able to mix the cameras on a sync module. You can have up to 10 Blink devices per sync module as long as they are all within the 100ft operating range of the sync module in any direction. The cameras on the sync module can be in any combination.

Q: QuestionIs there option for the the free storage to start from activation date and not purchase date? If I buy and turn it on today I get almost 2 months of free storage. If I give this as a Christmas gift they barely have 2 weeks of storage.

Q: QuestionAre all of the Blink Indoor multi-pack cameras able to stream to a TV for a live feed? I would assume it would have to be done on a Firestick. Also what would the battery life look like for live streaming?

• A:Answer Currently Blink integrates with IFTTT and the Amazon Alexa-enabled devices: Echo, Dot, Tap, Show, Spot, FireTV, Fire TV Cube, Fire TV Stick and Fire Tablets. There is a limit to the continuous live viewing on the Blink cameras. Currently, you are able to view up to 5 minutes at a time in 30 second intervals. After 5 minutes you would have to initiate a new live view session.

• A:Answer You can only have one username/email address and password per account however, you can download our app to as many compatible iOS, Android and Amazon Fire devices as you’d like, so the entire household can receive alerts or check in at home. When launching the app on additional devices, please use the sign in option to access the account you created on your first Blink connected mobile device. You will not have to go through the setup process again. Q: QuestionDo I need to purchase some type of hosting plan for this system or is it strictly mine and monitored by myself/individual not another company?

• A:Answer The Blink Indoor cameras come with a free trial of the new Blink Cloud Subscription Service valid through December 31, 2020 in US/CA and March 31, 2021 for UK/EU at which time you can choose to continue the Cloud Subscription Service for a nominal fee, or purchase/use the new Blink Sync module2 and compatible USB flash drive for local storage (flash drive sold separately). If you elect not do either of these you can still use these cameras to access live view and receive motion alerts however no videos would be recorded.

Q: QuestionThe title of this package is Blink Indoor 2-Camera System. I do not see a Synch Module in the description. Is one included? Do you still need a Synch Module for a Blink System?

• A:Answer Assuming a fairly standard home (single building, no unusually dense construction materials), the Sync Module should be able to communicate with Blink camera units up to 100ft away in any direction. As far as how far away the system can be from the wireless router that would depend on the strength of your internet/WIFI, we recommend at least three bars of signal strength for optimal performance.

• A:Answer You are able to add the Blink Mini, Blink Outdoor or Blink Indoor to your existing Blink System. If you are adding the Blink Mini, Blink Indoor and Outdoor cameras to an existing Blink Account that has been activated on or before 4/15/2020, you will be grandfathered into your current free cloud storage model in the Blink app. Blink accounts activated after 4/15/2020 will receive motion alerts and be able to enter Live View for free, but will require either local storage via the Sync Module 2 or a subscription for cloud storage to save videos. A subscription is not required for local storage. You can have up to 10 Blink devices per sync module as long as they are all within the 100ft operating range of the sync module in any direction. The cameras on the sync module can be in any combination.

Q: QuestionAre the batteries rechargeable or replaceable?

• A:Answer The batteries that are shipped with the Blink cameras are not rechargeable and we do not recommend using rechargeable batteries as they may cause issues with the cameras. The battery-operated Blink cameras are shipped with two non-rechargeable AA 1.5v Lithium batteries and they’re easy to replace when the time comes. Simply open the battery compartment, take out the old batteries, and insert the new set. Blink camera batteries should be replaced by Energizer Ultimate 1.5v Lithium AA batteries or the equivalent. You’ll want to avoid using AA Lithium Ion or Li-ion batteries as these will carry a higher voltage and may cause issues with your camera. You also want to avoid Alkaline based and rechargeable batteries, as they may cause issues with your camera.
