A:AnswerHi --, Yes, you can use outdoor 4 wireless smart security cameras indoors because they are designed to be weather-resistant, not just weather-proof. The outdoor cameras are safe for both indoor and outdoor environments, but they cannot be used behind glass for motion detection as it will not work through windows. Hope you have a great day!
A:Answerunfortunately the Sync Module, does have to be plugged into the electrical outlet with the ac adaptor and can only be powered by the AC adaptor that came with your Sync Module
A:AnswerHello Ann and thank you for your question! The Blink Outdoor 4 Wireless Smart Security Camera only comes in black. Hope that helps! Have a great day!
A:AnswerHi Oldschool,
Our Blink Outdoor 4 cameras can be located up to 100 feet from the Sync Module Core. However, if you are looking for extended range, the Sync Module XR can extend the connection up to 250 feet in Extended Range (XR) mode or 400 feet in Extended Range Plus (XR+) mode.
I hope this answers your question!
A:AnswerHi nanamana3,
The range of a Blink Outdoor 4 camera from its Sync Module Core is up to 100 feet. The Sync Module Core does not offer extended range; for greater distances, you would need the Blink Sync Module XR, which extends the connection range to 250 feet in XR mode and up to 400 feet in XR+ mode.
I hope this answers your question!
A:AnswerHello Clay, thank you for your question. You can connect up to 10 Blink devices to a single Sync Module, and a single Blink account can support multiple separate systems (each containing a Sync Module with up to 10 cameras or independent Mini/Video Doorbell cameras). The total number of cameras you can use on one account is unlimited if you have a Blink Plus subscription. I hope that helps, have a great day!
A:AnswerHello, thank you for your question. You can monitor your Blink cameras from an unlimited number of phones by logging into the same Blink account on each device, with a maximum limit of 100 devices per account. To do this, you must download the Blink app on each phone and sign in with the same Blink account credentials. For security, a one-time password will be sent to the account owner's associated email or phone number to verify the new device. I hope that helps, have a great day!
A:AnswerHello Otto, thank you for your question. No, a Blink Outdoor 4 does not require a subscription for basic functions like live view and motion alerts, but you do need a Blink Sync Module 2 to save recorded clips locally to a USB drive instead of using cloud storage. While you can use the camera without a subscription, you'll have limited access to advanced features such as cloud video recording, person detection, and extended cloud storage, which require a paid subscription. I hope that helps, have a great day!
A:AnswerHello Jarrell, thank you for your question. Yes, the Blink Video Doorbell will work with your Blink Outdoor 4 cameras and the included Sync Module, as Blink devices are designed to be managed within a single system via a Sync Module, which supports up to 10 devices. You can simply add your Video Doorbell to your existing Blink account and system, ensuring both your cameras and doorbell are connected to the same Sync Module Core. I hope that helps, have a great day!
A:AnswerHello JD, the Blink Outdoor 4 cameras can be used anywhere you would like. They are designed for outdoor use since they are weather proof, but there is no reason you can't use them indoors. I have a couple that I use in my house when I travel since they are easy to set up and run on batteries.
Have a great day!
A:AnswerHi Coverage, the Blink Outdoor 4 has about a 143° horizontal field of view and 72° vertical, so not a full 180° in either direction. Hope this helps
A:AnswerHello Tired1,
Having a weak or poor wifi signal can be detrimental to the functionality of your Blink Outdoor 4 system. The Synch Module requires a wifi signal to make the initial connection to the peripheral devices. The Wifi Connection also establishes the devices on Blinks servers in order to send software updates. You can however, use the Synch Modules local storage option. This will allow you to store motion triggered clips on a USB Drive or SD Card. When you are setting up your Blink System you will just need to enable the "Local Storage" Option on the app as opposed to "Cloud Storage". The clips will then save to the external storage device which you can remove and view from computer.
I hope this answers your question.
A:AnswerHello Di, thank you for your question. No, you do not need to own an Amazon Alexa device to use the Blink Outdoor 4; it functions independently with the Blink mobile app for basic features like live view and motion alerts. While Alexa integration offers voice control and other smart features, the camera can be fully set up and used with a compatible smartphone or tablet without requiring any Alexa-enabled devices. I hope that helps, have a great day!
