A:AnswerThe floodlight is powered with batteries unless you buy the wired camera. The actual camera itself is also battery powered. The light is motion sensores at night. I do not believe you can separate the module, but I added my floodlight to the module I use for all my other cameras. It can be pretty far my floodlight is in the front of the house while the module is in my living area.
