A:AnswerEach piece of the system needs to be within 100 feet. So wifi router within 100 ft of the sync module and the camera within 100 ft of the sync module. Depending on how close dad's house is you may be able to run it off your wifi. You may also want to try a wifi extender put in his house if it can see your home network. Test it with your cell phone and see if you can sniff your home network. Also consider running a cat5 cable between houses or even a mobile hotspot on your or his cell network that you turn on off when you need it. Good luck.
