• A:Answer Needs to be within 100 feet of the cameras. Ours plugs right into the wall. Doesn’t need to be plugged into router since it’s wireless connection.

Q: QuestionWe just bought 2 blink xt2 camera systems. We want to put the camera at my fathers house next door. He’s elderly and falls sometimes. We could monitor him from our house on our phones. Only thing is he doesn’t have internet. Does he need to?

• A:Answer Each piece of the system needs to be within 100 feet. So wifi router within 100 ft of the sync module and the camera within 100 ft of the sync module. Depending on how close dad's house is you may be able to run it off your wifi. You may also want to try a wifi extender put in his house if it can see your home network. Test it with your cell phone and see if you can sniff your home network. Also consider running a cat5 cable between houses or even a mobile hotspot on your or his cell network that you turn on off when you need it. Good luck.

• A:Answer Yes. You will need to download the blink app on your FireTv stick and sync up your cameras to your account. Easy as that. Setup and installation takes about 15-20 minutes depending on how many cameras you get.

• A:Answer No. It does not show up as a wifi device. You have to have the app on your device and be signed into the account to view video. But this is not a really discreet camera. It is about 3 inch by 3 inch square and has a camera and a sensor right in the middle.

Q: QuestionAbout storage capacity. If we're traveling out of cell range or in another time zone and someone takes their time breaking in... It seems like by the time we're notified, we would be lucky to catch a clip of the car driving away. Any experience with this?
