The Yeti Nano is a condenser mic, so it won't cancel out the exterior sound per say as it wants to capture the clearest sound possible, but you can actually choose between 2 different sound patterns, Cardioid mode is perfect for a single host, so one person in front of the mic, and the mic will focus on what's directly in front of it basically. And then Omnidirectional mode, where the mic will pick up the sound all around it, like in a conference room in example, with multiple participants and all. You can also adjust the gain on the mic for each mode, so how much sound the mic pics up. You can also mute the mic completely if you'd like, but all Blue microphones will give you a clear and crisp sound for sure!
