“Can this work in a great room in our home that might have a slight echo as ceilings are 16 feet tall? I just don't want an echo type sound.”

Hello, yes this will work great in that kind of room. Simply just set it to cardioid mode and it will only pick up on the sound directly in front of the microphone(you speaking). -Danielle from Logitech
