Q: QuestionIs the phone locked to Boost even when abroad where there's no Boost service? As there are 2 SIM slots, can I use another SIM of another carrier alongside Boost?
Asked by DrTsang.
- A:Answer Great questions! Even when you're traveling abroad, the device remains locked to the Boost Mobile network until it meets our 12-month requirement, meaning you wouldn't be able to use a local international SIM card right away. While the Galaxy A16 5G features a hybrid slot that can hold two SIMs (or one SIM and a microSD card), both slots are restricted to Boost Mobile service while the phone is locked. We’d love to help you stay connected with our great international roaming options, so be sure to check those out at boostmobile.com!

Asked by prepay.
- A:Answer Just to clarify: on this deal, you own the phone outright, BUT it is locked to Boost, and you have to pay monthly for the SERVICE, for one year, before you can unlock it and move to another carrier (should you choose).

Q: QuestionWhat kind of plans does Boost have at present?
Asked by luislast.
- A:Answer If you can read at least as well as I can, you can go to the Boost website, where ALL plans, and any variations, will be listed. It's ridiculous to ask anyone to copy and paste something you can find with ease yourself.

Q: QuestionBy purchasing this phone am I committed to any specific monthly plan, i.e. $35 or $50 per month?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer At first glance, I would have said "no," but if you read the other questions/answers, Boost seems to be requiring the $35/mo. plan subscription, since this is a NEW phone you are purchasing from them.
