For all your questions there are always variables. Does the phone heat up, yes it can depending on usage. Does it blow up or catch on fire, no. Does it have enough storage, (16gb) yes, depending on what you are doing with it. So for pictures, emails, texting, ect yes. If you plan on using it as a computer server, no. Does the battery last a while. Yes, once again depending on what you are doing with it. For basic usage or some light gaming yes. My new phone lasts over 10 hours on a full charge. How is the wifi or data, depending on your carrier, where you live it's great. I find it quicker than the Samsung Galaxy S3.
