Yes, you can transfer a phone number from another phone and carrier (such as Walmart's Straight Talk) to a new phone and carrier (the Samsung J7 on the Boost network). When you activate the new phone, you'll be asked whether you want to transfer an existing number or obtain a new number. (You can do the phone activation online, or you can ask Best Buy to do that for you.)
