• No, this model does not have a food disposal feature. It has a filter that you will need to empty occasionally. Quieter dishwashers have moved away from food disposals as they were noisy.

• It has a filter for hard foods that needs to be cleaned out. We did not need anything extra to install it.

• Hi there. Thank you for your question. The SHEM3AY52N 100 Series Front Control Dishwasher does not have a hard food disposal. We have a filtration system that may require cleaning every few months. This dishwasher comes with a drain hose and ready to hardwire. Please contact your nearest Best Buy for information on additional parts for installation such as the water inlet hose.

• Yes it does contain a hard food disposal that is why we picked it. We had them install it and I don't think we bought anything extra other than the install kit. We love how clean it gets the dishes and we don't rinse them first.
