Yes and no. There is a child lock function which is mostly useless. It works on all the buttons except the On/Off one. So now my kid keeps pressing that. Turning the dishwasher off and then on again should be fine - it resumes where it left off. However, I've noticed that if it's off for long enough, it will reset - so when you turn it on you have to start all over. This is very frustrating for an otherwise great dishwasher.

Please try again later.The user manual has a section "Protection Against Unintentional Operation", and a section "Child Lock (panel lock)", which apparently is optional, and may or may not be on every model. I would refer you to the manual that came with your dishwasher. My model dishwasher has "Child Lock" under the "Rinse" button, and (per the manual) it is used to lock the panel once the dishwasher is in operation. It prevents the wash cycle from being interrupted unintentionally. Refer to the manual to understand how to engage the child lock.
