A:AnswerHi Tim, thanks for your question. Occasionally water may still appear in the dishwasher upon opening your dishwasher for the first time. This is completely normal and part of our quality control inspection. Our dishwashers are tested in the factory before packaging and delivery to ensure proper operation. Every dishwasher must pass 485 quality checks - including running water through each one - before leaving the factory.
A:AnswerHi azwillie, thanks for your question. The amount of dishwasher salt required depends on the water hardness. The higher the water hardness, the greater the amount of salt required. The salt refill indicator lights up when it's time to add salt. More information about this is in the Use & Care manual, available on Bosch's website. A:AnswerA power cord is included if you have an outlet but it is very short. We did not have an outlet so we purchased the power cord which is used if hardwiring the dishwasher.
A:AnswerHi Chris, thanks for your interest in model SHE53B75UC. This dishwasher does have a water softener, but it is not the only model that has one. As far as upkeep, just make sure that you adjust the settings accordingly compared to the hardness of your water. You can refer to the use and care manual for more information.
A:AnswerHi Poppy56, thanks for the question. While we don't have life spans published for our appliances, consumer study groups such as Consumer Reports and Good Housekeeping offer average life expectancy data for appliances.
