An estimated time it will take for the cycle flashes prior to pressing start. Once cycle is done the timer is 0:00. Once you open and close the door, the estimated time is back to flashing (it is assuming clean dishes are out and it has been reloaded). If you don’t want the lights flashing when not in use you need to press the on/off button to shut it off.
