• The portion with the handle is silver plastic. Doesn't show fingerprints.

• I am answering my own question, since I have now purchased this dishwasher. I can't definitively tell if the top portion of the door is metal or plastic, but I think it is a thin piece of stainless steel. The key is that it has a matte finish, so it is very fingerprint resistant.

• Hi Mstea. Thank you for your question. The top part of the door on the 300 Series scoop handle is stainless steel. It is not fingerprint resistant.
