    • Answer Hi Gils, thank you for your question and interest in Model:DUH30252UC. If the model is not vented to the outside, the air will be recirculated through disposable charcoal filters that help remove smoke and odors. The charcoal filters cannot be cleaned. They must be replaced. The charcoal filters are clipped inside of each metal grease filter (mounting instructions included with charcoal filters kit). The charcoal filters should be replaced when they are noticeably dirty or discolored (usually after 6–12 months, depending on hood usage). This has washable aluminium, dishwasher-safe mesh filters.

    • Answer Hi there. Thank you for your question. For a vertical or horizontal discharge you can use a rectangular duct that is 3 1/4” x 10”. For a vertical discharge you may also use a round 7” duct.

  • QuestionDoes the DUH30152UC or3025UC require a conversion kit for non ducted use?

    • Answer Hi Dave, thank you for your question and interest in Model:DUH30252UC. Per the Installation Instructions: For Recirculating: Use the hood as a template and mark the locations on the cabinet for the electrical wiring and keyhole screw slots. Since the hood is to be recirculated (not to be vented outside), do not cut out any vent openings in the wall or cabinet bottom. To recirculate air into the kitchen, make sure the plastic vent lever is in the VERTICAL position (flat against the plastic blower housing).

  • QuestionWhen it is installed, can the CFM be set to less than 400CFM? We are not allowed to cross 399CFM with our current situation.

    • Answer Hi Sharmila, thank you for your question and interest in Model:DUH30252UC. Per the Specifications Page for this Model the 400 CFM is the Maximum for this blower. We also have another Under-cabinet Range Hood, Model:DUH30152UC that has a maximum CFM of 280.

  • QuestionFor Bosch Range Hood, DUH30252 - DUCTLESS, is there a compatible Charcoal Filter Kit available for it? Bosch does not include a charcoal filter kit with this appliance, nor does it stock one or have a suppler for it.

    • Answer Hi AL. Thank you for your question. The 500 Series Range Hood, Model:DUH30252UC is Convertible to be Ducted or Recirculating. TheFlexible design gives the ability to recirculate the air back into the kitchen. The Replacement charcoal filter is DHZ3002UC.
