• Hi T, thanks for your question and interest in model SHX78B75UC. For our top control dishwashers, you would choose your settings, press start, and then close the door to begin the cycle.

• This doesn't work for us. We have to hold down the reset for 4 seconds and only then do the settings light up. But then "yes", once you have done those two steps then you press the start button and close the door.
