Hi carmelita, thanks for your question and interest in model # HII8047U. This particular unit does not have a built-in downdraft. However, you have the option to purchase a separate ventilation hood. Bosch highly recommends installing a ventilation hood above this range to ensure optimal performance. For most kitchens, it is recommended to use a certified hood with a rating of no less than 300 CFM. Please make sure to install the range hood according to the instructions provided with the hood.
