HI mbobden, thank you for your question. The piece that you are seeing on the Induction Slide-in Range in that photo is the cooling vent for the oven to blow heat away from cabinetry. It is also on Model: HGI8056UC, however due to the grates. There is also a 4" Low backguard in stainless steel #HGZBS301.
