Q: QuestionCan I use ground coffee with this machine or does it have to be beans?

• A:Answer Hi Sena, thank you for your question and interest in Model:BCM8450UC. Yes, when using ground coffee, the setting for the strength of the coffee, dispensing two cups at once and dispensing larger volumes (12 oz/360 ml or 16 oz/480 ml) is not operable. If the message “Double dispensing not possible with ground coffee” appears, please select a volume smaller than 12 oz/360 ml.

Q: QuestionWhat purpose does the trim kit serve? I.e., if my appliances are black, does the stainless trim kit enhance the look of the machine in some other way? Thank you.

If your cabinets are larger that 24 inches, you might want the trim kit. • A:Answer Hi, thanks for your question and interest in model BCM8450UC. Required cutout size (HxWxD) (in) 17 11/16" x 21 31/32" x 23 33/64". Per the Installation Instructions, the transformer must be installed in the same cabinet with the Built-in Coffee Machine. Make sure there is adequate aeration. To do this, remove the rear panel or cut out an opening of 19 11/16" x 15 3/4". There must be a gap of at least 1 3/8″ between the wall and base of the unit or the rear panel of the unit situated above. The ventilation slots and intake openings must not be covered.
