A:AnswerTo know, you would have to pull out the old one and see what is behind the dishwasher. i would suspect if your house is more than 10 years old or if you have a pretty old dishwasher, then the adapter kit is needed. many newer dishwashers now have a regular plug. so yes, the salesman could have suggested you might need the kit. i would share that feedback with the salesperson. i am guessing a young BB employee might not know or have ever pulled one out to install!
A:AnswerHi Chad, thank you for your question regarding Model:SMZPCJB1UC. You would not need the Powercord with Junction Box unless you wanted to hardwire your Dishwasher.
A:AnswerThis is needed for a hard wired installation as the cord that comes with the dishwasher is only for plugging into a three prong outlet. The plug side of this is for connecting to the back of the dishwasher and the junction box at the end of it is for a hard wired connection. You will not be able to make a hard wired connection without this.
A:AnswerHi Jeannie, thank you for your question. The Bosch Powercord with Junction Box, Model:SMZPCJB1UC will work with your dishwasher, Model #SHX68T56UC.
A:AnswerHi Leon, thanks for your question. For warranties related to parts purchased from Best Buy, please contact Best Buy customer support at 1-888-237-8289.
A:AnswerIf you have modern electrical system, you don't need this. The newer Bosch dishwashers come w/ a standard plug-in cable that is much easier to use. Ask your installer, otherwise.
A:AnswerFrom my experience, and after researching online, it is the connector box supplied with your purchase. Mine dishwasher kept shutting frequently for about 4 month until last night 11/10/21, the connector box caught fire and shut my dishwasher down. Please do not wait, get that off your dishwasher. See for yourself, this is what happened to me and others.
