“Is there any of the typical Bluetooth delay when listening to the external environment with the built in microphones?”

• No. The external audio processing appears to be handled by the hearphones themselves instead of handing off to the phone, processed, and then sent back to the headphones

• Not in my experience. The ear buds occlude outside noise so perhaps that’s why there’s not the “ Echo”. If that’s what you’re referring to.

• No, I don't notice any delaysor lags in conversations, phone calls or Bluetooth listening.
