“What is the noise reduction rating for the Bose Hearphones Conversation Enhancing Headphones? I dont see it anywhere, not even the Bose website.”

• Hi DoubleM, Thank you for the question. There is not a industry standard for measuring active noise-cancellation. The Hearphones utilize both active and passive noise reduction technologies. They use a proprietary electronics approach to active noise reduction, placing microphones to measure noise both inside and outside the earbud. Each situation is unique. • The noise canceling works very well. While on a recent airline flight, I put them on while at the gate and began listening to an audiobook. Things were very quiet and I was enjoying my book. After a while we were still at the gate and I thought they had shut the engines down putting us in for a long delay. I was a little irritated and pulled my earbuds out and was immediately overwhelmed with loud engine noise. They work equally well in the car.
