“I was looking at the Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 to watch movies on my laptop but I am thinking I could use these for that, and also in restaurants etc when I have trouble hearing what people are saying, even with my hearing aids. Am I right?”

I did not use these in a restaurant and I did NOT use with hearing aids. The sound was pretty clear. You could purchase and try for whatever period is allowed before returning. I did get hearing aids from Costco, behind the ear, digital so I can adjust, using the app for focus on speech rather than the background sounds. That really helps. I just need to remember to adjust the app.
