Or would you recommend I go for the QC20 so mic is compatible with both devices? I could do without sound controlling buttons, but compatibility of mic on both devices is key.”

Yes the mic will work but the inline controls will not.

The QC20 headset has been optimized for use with the Samsung Galaxy products and will have limited functionality with the Apple or Blackberry devices.
