From what I've seen the Geek Squad protection will not cover if you loose one of the buds, it will cover if they stop working.

While we certainly hope this doesn't happen, the SoundSport Free headphones come with a feature in the Bose Connect app called "Find my Buds." After enabling this feature in the app, Find my Buds will show you the last location where your device connected to the missing earbud. Once you get in range of the earbud, the earbud will make a sound that gradually increases in volume. The individual earbuds are not currently sold separately. If the app is unable to locate one of your earbuds, we would recommend reaching out to our support team to explore the latest service options.
