“Do these offer background noise reduction while on a phone call? Similar to the wind reduction on other bluetooth devices. Currently I get complaints from customers that the background noise makes it difficult for them to hear me.”

I have received no complaint about noise when I use them for calls.

They automatically adjust the gain (microphone volume) for “low talkers”. In a loud environment where there are voices in the background, it is possible for the microphones to pick up those background voices and bring up the gain.
