“I just bought the Bose SoundTouch 300 and I can not get hdmi cable to work on my Samsung smart tv it works fine with the optic cable but I would like to connect thru the hdmi cable I did hook it up tp hdmi arc connector and had no sound”

Look for hdmi ARC con connection in your TV

Get a new tv, probably an OLED, which isn’t a Samsung.
I would recommend:
