I have this same exact problem. I spoke with Samsung as my tv is a samsung. They told me that this is normal operation!? Anything connected to the hdmi3 input which is the arc input , the tv automatically switches to this input. I find this hard to believe from Samsung as it should know that there is no video connection hooked up. I feel like it was a lazy answer from Samsung and do not believe it is bose's issue. It truly is annoying bc every time I turn my tv on it switches to the input my soundtouch 300 is hooked up to. If anyone else could tell us how to eliminate his from happening that would be great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If I’m understanding your situation right it sounds like what was happening to me. When I turned on my TV about 30 seconds later it would change the TV input from HDMI 1, which is where my Directv is to HDMI ARC 4. I would manually have to switch it back every time. I finally found an easy fix. Go to menu on your TV remote & menu again depending on your TV. Then go to system & then Anynet + (HDMI-CEC) & turn it to off. It may not say Anynet if it’s not a Samsung. Solved my issue I hope it helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hook it up with a optical cable, mine works great
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Almost forgot the most important part, unplug the HDMI from the TV input & plug it in directly to the soundbar HDMI in port. That will stop it from switching. You have to have the soundbar WiFi set up for this to work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The sound bar is going to remain on the same input it was on when you turned it off.
