Hi, Mike. Thank you for your interest in the SoundTouch Wireless Link adapter! You can absolutely enjoy the setup that you're describing by connecting the adapter to your receiver. The adapter can connect using your choice of a digital optical cable, RCA cable or 3.5 mm AUX cable, all of which are included with the adapter. Our free SoundTouch app will recognize the adapter as a SoundTouch device and allow you to share your music with the other SoundTouch speakers around your home. Please try again later.The way it was explained to me: the Bose wireless adapter is for Bose product that doesn’t have WiFi or Bluetooth capabilities for example I have Cinemate 125. It has a connection for the wireless adapter so I can tie other Bose sound touch speakers. It’s meant to put all speaker on same network. You can call Bose technical support.
