Its range is pretty far in my house. From one room to another and across the house. It is Bluetooth and wireless.

The device is both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. So either will work. I found the range when using Wi-Fi was perfect and I used the product on the second floor of my home.

The wireless link adapter will need to be connected to your existing system/receiver with cables which are included. Guesstimating, these cables are maybe 3 or 4 feet long allowing you a little bit of movement for finding a good signal for your adapter. You will set it up to be used wirelessly from your wi-fi via the SoundTouch app. My router is maybe 30/35 feet away upstairs. Once set up, you can then use the app for Bluetooth connectivity with other devices.

This accessory does wifi and Bluetooth. While the wifi range will vary from home to home, the Bluetooth range is up to 30 feet.
