• Yes via Bluetooth. The adaptor will then rebroadcast the stream to all SoundTouch connected speakers. Highly recommended.

• If you hook it up via your home wireless network, the Bose app will only play music from certain phone apps like Spotify, Pandora, Amazon, and a few others. If you hook it via Bluetooth, it will play anything playing on your phone or tablet

• With this adapter, you can use Bluetooth to stream from any music app as opposed to using the SoundTouch app over wifi.

• You don't need to use the app, but you will have to use Bluetooth connectivity instead of wifi if you are not going to use the app.

• The app lets you stream music from services like Spotify, Pandora, and Amazon Prime. There are also a few 100 Internet radio stations (accesible via the app). The device has Bluetooth capability. So if you PC or Phone has Bluetooth, you can stream music from the device to the Bose Soundlink adapter.
