• Hello Paiel, Thanks for your question, the SoundWear Companion has a built in mic and doesn't need to have an external mic added. You can't add an external mic to this device. Kind Regards, Hector B - Bose Customer Support

• It has a quality microphone built in... no need to add another. No complaints from people on the other end regarding sound quality.
