What's the length of the arm, on this? null

I'm too lazy to check but it does hang out over the dashboard just fine.

It's about 12 inches. I have a Note8 in an Otterbox case,so I'm sure it will hold most phones

I would say the arm is 9", but the the whole bracket with arm is about 12".

Length is about 12 inches. Reaches great from window to right next to stearing wheel.
