I’m not familiar with “Cuban Coffee “ but personally I wouldn’t use anything except whole beans dialed in to pull your perfect shot. If you use grounds that are too fine you run the risk of not enough water able to filter to your drink and it could taste burnt or really bitter. It does dispense hot water, so depending on the powder coffee you use (if it’s instant) that may be an answer. But at this price point you might want to consider a water boiler just because Breville espresso machines are designed to use pressure to extract the flavor from the beans
