“Does this scanner have a “wired” capability as well? For cases when wireless is not an option?”

• Yes, I'm running mine wired. I have it plugged into my docking station via USB. It does also require a separate power cord unlike some scanners that will get power through a USB cord.

• It does have a micro-USB connection, but even with that I can't maintain a connection with the PC. I didn't want to depend on WiFi or Bluetooth, but it still can only "see" my computer intermittently.

• Yes, the ADS-1700W does have a wired connection option.
