• The micro USB connection is on the scanner itself. The USB part that connects to the computer is a standard USB type. The USB cablee is not included with this machine.

• The usb port on the scanner itself is not Micro, but rather standard usb which would accept a flash drive to scan to. So you can plug the flash drive directly into the back of the scanner. Hope this helps.
