• Yes, it needs to be connected to your land line if you want to use the fax features. No color, it only supports black and white. Yes, it comes with a black starter cartridge.

• Yes, it have to be connected to a phone land line so the fax can work. It doesn't have color. Only black, it already comes with the cartridges.
