Hi Ant, unless you intend on utilizing out-of-home control or connecting this bulb to a voice assistant, you don't need a C by GE hub, as these bulbs will connect via Bluetooth. However if you're wanting either of the aforementioned features, a C by GE hub will be needed, we like to recommend the Smart Plug in those situations.
