QuestionHi bought this 6 months ago and the ice maker has completely stopped working and there is condensation on the door shelf behind the ice maker. This is very frustrating since it is now summer. We have already changed the filter and that did not help.

QuestionDoes this use the electronic "chipped" water filter? We have an older cafe and love the fridge, but will never buy a fridge with that style of filter again. They are to expensive, even with my whole house water system they barely last 4 months in my house

QuestionWe are considering this platinum glass refrigerator, the finish looks gorgeous. What type of glass is used as the overlay? Is there any concern with the glass breaking or chipping?

The Platinum Glass Finish is imprinted with a brushed stainless metallic background, so it cannot rub off. QuestionI've finally received my dream fridge and am in love EXCEPT my right fridge area door must be pushed completely shut. With all my other refrigerators I can give the door a little push and it closes pretty much on it's own.. Is there a fix for this?

- Answer I've not seen any other reviews that say the doors don't shut easily. The installers are coming back out and make sure the doors are level. I've seen this might be an answer. I certainly hope so. This refrigerator is much too expensive to have doors that don't shut.

QuestionI really want this refrigerator. Getting it into my 80 year old home is razor thin tight. I'm pretty sure I can squeeze it in but if for some reason it proves impossible can the doors come off to move it into a home? My Front door clearance is 35".

QuestionThank you for responding to my first question about removing the first basket in the convertible zone. But does the refrigerator has a tray that we can place on the second basket and put food on it?

- Answer Hi there, and thanks for your interest in this quad-door refrigerator! While this unit is customizable with shelves and bins that can be removed and adjusted, there is not an extra tray to place on that basket. If the second basket has any sort of cover we don't recommend placing extra items there, to avoid exceeding any weight limits. However, the wine basket area does come with a solid shelf on top where additional items can be placed, and because the wine basket is in the convertible zone it can also have the temperature adjusted and be used for options other than wine as well. There are several pictures on the product page that show that part of the convertible zone being used, if that would be helpful. QuestionCan we remove the upper drawer(basket for wine) of the right hand lower section and place a shelf on the second basket; so we can use that upper part more freely, without a drawer?

QuestionI have no restrictions on the doors on one side but I'm limited on the other side. Do you have to swing the doors wide in order to access any portion of the shelves or drawers. If you open it to a 90 degree angle how far out can you pull the drawers?

- Answer Hello and thank you so much for considering one of our favorite refrigerators. When opening the upper doors to 90 degrees, you would have full extension of both drawers and therefore, full access to items in these drawers. However, completely removing them is not possible when the doors are only open to 90 degrees. For the bottom doors, with one door unable to fully open, it would prohibit the drawers on that side from fully extending. However, if you remove the door bins, then the drawers are fully accessible. With limited space, we recommend model CVE28DM5NS5. This has a similar freezer arrangement with the convertible drawer but does not require extra space for the freezer as it pulls out. QuestionIs the platinum glass finish finger print resistant and smudge proof ?

It's stainless steel covered by glass so it will get fingerprints and smudges like glass will, but it's very easy to clean. QuestionDoes the ice stick together and have difficulty coming through the shoot to your glass? My fridge does this since the ice maker is in the refrigerator section as this is. Opening and shutting the door tends to make the ice melt slightly making it clump.

- Answer I haven’t played with the ice maker too much. But it does produce about a gallon bucket size of ice. Mine filled within 24 hours. I’d say it’s the standard size ice cube.

QuestionCan the doors be taken off to get this through a narrow door (30.5" opening)? My current 28 cubic foot refrigerator was able to take the doors off to get it inside the kitchen and then put back on.

- Answer I believe they can be taken off. However this refrigerator is very large barely fit through my 36” door frame. I don’t think it would fit through the 30” door even with doors off as the doors only add about 4” of width.

QuestionCan the whole bottom be used as an actual freezer or does one side of the door act like the middle draw of the other modern glass model with 3 draws. I'm looking for more freezer space.

- Answer Not sure I understand the question, but both lower zones can be used as freezer space. They are two separate and independent spaces, and the lower right zone can be set to be either a freezer or a refrigerator. We're using ours as a refrigerator (and that seems to be the main focus since there's a small wine rack in that zone), but there's no reason you couldn't use it as a freezer if you need more freezer space. Even though we're only using the lower left freezer space, we feel like it has more usable freezer space than our old GE Monogram side-by-side had., and having the extra refrigerator space better fits our needs.

QuestionI don't drink wine and really don't want the wine rack drawer. Can it be replaced by a "regular" drawer? If so, where can I get it?
