about 3 minutes. You can also program it to heat up a certain time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi nailpolish527- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Refrigerators with the Keurig® K-Cup Brewing System have a dedicated 20 oz. stainless tank that holds filtered water for heating. The hot water tank is fed directly from the water coming to the refrigerator and does not use the water from the separate chilled water reservoir. The water in the tank can take up to 5 minutes to heat once hot water is required. When heating is completed, the “Hot Water Ready” screen will appear and the red light around the hot water knob will glow. Once water is dispensed through the brewer, cold water enters the tank and mixes with the remaining hot water. If you need hot water to brew a second cup, the heating time will be less since the water in the tank is warmer. If you want your water heated ahead of time, consider using the refrigerator's WiFi Connect features using the GE Kitchen App (available through the Apple App Store and Google Play). Using the App on your smartphone, you can schedule hot water for any time of the day. When using the App, your hot water temperature will be maintained for 15 minutes. See the following link to view a short video: https://www.youtube.com/embed/K0cVU3omz6A?rel=0 - We hope you'll love the feature as much as we do. Keep in touch!
